What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which will apply from 25 May 2018, creates consistent data protection rules across Europe. It applies to companies that are based in the European Union and global companies that process personal data about individuals in the EU.

In summary, the GDPR gives consumers the rights of access, rectification, automated decision making and profiling, as well as the rights to erasure, restrict processing, data portability and object.

We welcome the implementation of GDPR as it is an important step to enabling and empowering individual privacy rights.

Are there specific changes that will affect me as a Chevelle fan?

Yes. In a conscientious effort to inform our users about how we collect and use your personal information, as well as how you have control over the way we do so, we are updating our terms and conditions of use as well as our privacy policy.

Effective 25 May 2018, all versions of our services that do not meet the GDPR regulations will be retired and no longer be usable or valid. This means that you may not be able to log in to legacy versions of services such as past contests or online surveys (Before May 25 Compliant update).

As we look to further reinforce data privacy, we may seek your consent to receive our marketing newsletters. Such requests for consent may be found in our updated terms and conditions.
