What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which has applied since 25 May 2018, creates consistent data protection rules across Europe. It applies to companies based in the European Union and to global companies that process personal data about individuals in the EU.

In summary, the GDPR gives people the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, along with rights around automated decision making and profiling.

We welcomed the GDPR as an important step toward enabling and empowering individual privacy rights.

What changed for Chevelle fans?

In an effort to inform fans about how we collect and use personal information, and how you control the way we do so, we updated our terms and our privacy practices.

Effective 25 May 2018, all versions of our services that did not meet the GDPR were retired. Legacy services such as past contests, online surveys and the old Fan Hub are no longer available.

Where we send marketing newsletters, we ask for your consent first, and you can unsubscribe from any email we send.

• Sensitive personal details such as sexual orientation or racial identity

Who is affected by the GDPR?

The GDPR applies to organizations located within the EU, and also to organizations outside the EU if they offer goods or services to, or monitor the behavior of, people in the EU.
